Amazing what your children can do to friendship

I remember there was a time when friendship with ex-classmates seemed to have reached a low point, when there can be periods of silences when we meet cos we ran out of conversational topics, when desire to gather seemed to have disappeared..

It's wonderful how our children can strengthen our friendship again. Our desires to let our children meet children of friends, godmothers wanting to play with their godchildren and even when children are not brought along in gatherings they bring about endless conversations about them amongst ourselves. Often than not, they're just daily trivialities like how much milk they drink, what they eat, what tv programs they watch, what words they speak, what toys they like, what school to send them to... etc etc etc

I'm thankful to our children for the retightening of our friendships and thankful that I have friends who share with me this wonderful phase of life, parenthood..
