Under One Roof

Before we queued up for our punngol flat, I've always wished that my neighbour staying directly opposite my mum's pl will move out and sell their unit to me. Then it'll be a case of "ma! We're going home!" *open door, close door, open door, close door* and we're home... *dreamy*

I was really serious about it and I even asked the neighbour once when we were in the lift together,
"will u be moving out?"
I couldnt say it too explicitly that I'm eyeing his unit cos he may delibrately jack up his selling price but his reply came,
"no la.. I'll lose too much money so I've got to stay here."

*craeankk* that's the sound of the dreamy bubble bursting...

I think it's a really good idea to be that close to our next-of-kin. One of my friends has been planning to buy a big landed property so she can house her mum as well as her in-laws under the same roof. I like that idea too even though it can sometimes be scary to live under the same roof with too many folks, I think being in a bigger property with some territorial demarcation should be a wonderful arrangement.

Too bad, I'm not half as rich as Jean Yip who stays in a really huge bungalow with her sister and family. For now, I will be very very very contented if all of us stay in the same block of flats. Ideal if all on the same floor. Wouldnt that be great? Ma (& Pa and Zoetoh) Dajie (and family), erjie (& family), inlaws, xiaoling (& black dragon).. All at the same floor!.... Ahhh....... Sigh.. If only we all live in my sandcastle..
