Celebration!

Last week i received an sms from KKH to remind me that today is ting's cardio appointment. Thank goodness for that cos ky told me with so much conviction that her appointment is on 9th Jan. If not for the sms, we would had totally missed the appointment today!

I was still thinking whether i would be able to go for the appointment (i really wantedd to) last night and this morning. I aggravated my already lousy back yesterday and i was feeling really lousy this morning. I struggled to walk. Thankfully i managed to find the sinseh who treated me before and was lucky enough to secure an appointment to see her before ting's appointment. Though not 100% recovered, i was good enough to walk without putting in that much effort.

So, we went to the friendly cardiologist, Dr Tan. He listened to her while i went to grab a bite. He told ky, "should be ok," albeit hearing a murmur. We waited for our turn for the ultrascan. Cute ting attracted a lot of attention from the nurses :)

It was our turn soon and ting laid down on the examination bed awkwardly. We tried to distract her with toys and video clips from my mobile as she tried to pull the scanner away from her chest. I saw the cardiologist making two measurements, one showing 1cm and the other showing 2cm. I thought to myself, "cam liao, looks like the ASD has not closed".

After a while, Dr Tan took the scanner away, looked at us and delivered this,
"the hole has spontaneously closed, earlier i mentioned a murmur, it's an innocent murmur. Her heart is perfectly normal now."

"yeah! So we can finally get her insurance!"

"yes you certainly can. We'll write in the report the two important words that the insurers want to see, Normal and Discharged."

I'm sooooo happy I want to dance! Anyone game to dance with me? :)
