My Family

One thing I like about fu's school that he started attending last Sept is that there're always new activities and excursions the school organizes.

A few weeks ago, we received a note from the school that they will be conducting a "show and tell" session fortnightly on Mondays. "Show and tell" basically means that the child will, depending on the topic of discussion, bring along an item to school to show and tell his teachers and classmates. Something like a "public speaking" activity.

This year, the first topic was "my family". I definitely wouldnt bear to let fu bring along a real family photo to school. It will definitely come back crumpled unless I find something really suitable that will protect it yet fit nicely into fu's backpack that he carries himself. Fu's also not into drawing. So I eventually decided to use the facebook's sketch application to trace out our family portrait which we recenty took. Here's how it looks like:

I brought this printout to show fu. He looked at it with delight and asked me, "mommy, can I colour it?"

This was what he brought to school:

He started colouring my face first and I asked him, "why's mommy purple?"

He pointed to my arm and said, "I dont have this colour.."

haha.. according to him, daddy is red apple. You like it? I certainly do. :)
