when I returned from work to my mil's place on thursday, fu was very cranky and crying for my mil. I got to know that he's down with flu and been coughing through his afternoon nap. Soon after, he calmed down and asked me to play with him. So I lied on the floor next to where he sat and kept him company while he was inserting coins into his little piggy bank. I noticed that his breathing was very fast and he seemed to be wheezing... not a good sign..
at night, I gave him clomine for his flu and procodin for his cough. He slept but his breathing was still very quick. I estimated his breathing cycle was less than 1 second. Fortunately he was not running a temperature and I told ky that we should bring him to dr bel the following day.
i was pleasantly surprised to see fang when she walked into the clinic with chloe for her routine check and injection. When i took chloe over while fang was registering at the counter, i found myself sniffing and kissing chloe.. hee... i just cannot resist kissing and sniffing babies and toddlers especially one who is as sniffable and kissable as chloe :)
Dr Bel said i'm right, fu's wheezing. This is the second time he's wheezing.. first time was when he had mycoplasms pneumonia. Dr Bel said this time it's quite bad so she prescribed the ventolin inhaler which has the same content but in alot lower dosage than sabutamol. However, the puff will administer ventolin directly into the lungs thus more effective than sabutamol which is to be taken orally. She said fu may be prone to asthma but he will outgrow. A bad news and good news within the same sentence and I barely had time to feel sad before i felt the sense of relief.
Till now, fu had taken 5 doses of ventolin and he seemed alot better. It's a pity that changes got to be made for the planned gathering with eng and the girls at my place today. It's ok, we'll meet again soon. It wont be fun if other children catch the bug from fu.
