Pregnancy Update

ah.. finally I got on to blogging about this. :P

I dont know how many times I will say this but I just have to say it. Each time after gynae's visit, I will feel very relieved and feel I've crossed another hurdle. I was 22+ weeks pregnant when I went to see Dr Kowa on 14th July.

Movements
Little r's movement patterns are different from my previous pregnancies. Hers is scattered throughout the day and can be felt at different parts of my tummy. I will always feel her movements when I'm watching jia you jin shun. Several times I asked ky to come and see/feel, I wonder if she's haolian or shy.. she'll always keep very still when daddy is around.

Ultrasound
Been quite lazy to use my scanner. Recently, Sharyn suggested I can just use my phone's camera to snap pictures of the ultrascan and post it! Why didnt I think of it? Dr Kowa managed to snap some nice poses of little r... heehee...

hmm.. is she digging her nose? Can you see the profile of her face? :)

Statistics
Head Diameter: 55.78mm (Equivalent to 23.0 weeks)

Thigh bone length: argh! I cant see from the scan printout! It's equivalent to 22W 2D(from now, crown to rump length will not be measured and this will be replaced by thigh length.. I remember when I asked why during pregnancy with fu, Dr Kowa said cos the machine's "ruler" is not long enough to measure the crown to rump length)

I really like the above picture. She kiao kah nicely for Kowa to snap. She's showing off her kah tui.. hee.. I hope her kah tui wont be fat and short like mine next time..

Cerclage
Cervix closed and little r's position is far from the cervix

Did you turn tilt your head left and right trying to figure out which part of little R the scan is showing? Hehee... look at the word in the scan, it says "LIPS". This is little R giving you a "see you next time kiss". Well, actually this is when Dr Kowa is checking for any abnormalities like cleft lips. From the scan, it seems like she has quite thick african lips!! :-O
