As i'm writing this, big gor is on his way to Germany. It's his summer holidays now and he is visiting his Opa. He was also there last year this time without erjie and his brothers. Opa flew to singapore last year to take the flight back to germany with him and his daddy took the return flight back with him. However this time it's different. He's taking the flights himself and opa will be there to receive him.
When I first learnt about this, I was worried. The flight is 16hours! He's only 7! Erjie assured that many children travel alone and it's very safe and the steward(ess)s are informed and will take care of them. Besides, barty has always been a secured child. Well.. I know.. Aiyah.. It's not him, it's me.. I'm afterall a very conservative and old-fashioned Singaporean.
The flight was at 11.05pm and we went to send him. Barty didn't look excited like when I saw him on sunday. He was wearing a small weary look (see picture above) on his face I thought he could be tired cos it's past his usual bedtime of 8pm. Erjie asked him if he's tired and he shoot his head.. Then erjie asked if he's sad and he nodded.. Poor boy.. Both erjie and barty remained calm and composed the whole time at the airport.
All the little ones had a good time running about in the airport.. :)
When enzian finally caught up with fu, he said in his husky but gentle voice.. "fufu.. you're so fast.." fu and mei are so fortunate to have so many doting gorgors :)
